Since 2003 Kai Wiedenhöfer deals with borders, with the barriers that are set up to monitor political, economic and ethnic conflicts. His series The US Border Wall - The Power and Impotence of a World Power shows the cuts in the countryside, life at the boundaries, the materialization of the border between the US and Mexico. Through the panoramic format the vastness of the walls is tangible. The sometimes primitive devices also illustrate the absurdity of the American globalization refusal.
