One Day in History

Andrea Gjestvang (*1982, Norway) presents her thoughtful and haunting work One Day in History. One year after the massacre on the Norwegian island of Utøya, where 69 young people were executed in a holiday camp, she traveled through Norway, visited the surviving adolescents in their home environment and listened to their stories.

'The adolescence is a time of dreams, aspirations and fantasies. I wanted to find out what happens to a teenager's life when everyday issues are replaced by the fear of being shot, the loss of friends and siblings, nightmares and physical injuries?' (Andrea Gjestvang)
